Quantum games, Ringed Planets and Limericks: Physics in the Pub
Are there planets in other solar systems as beautiful as Saturn? What’s the deal with quantum computing? And why does physics drive scientists to poetry?
These are the burning issues that local physicists will be discussing at the Abercrombie Hotel on August 25th. Come along and grab a refreshing beverage and a feed and settle in for an entertaining night with the brightest stars of Sydney physics, supported by the AIP.
THE LINE UP
Saturn’s rings are a highlight of our solar system. Jaime Alvarado Montes (Macquarie University) is looking for planets with rings beyond our solar system.
The winner of the AIP Outreach Award will be announced, and will have a VIP slot on the line up!
Amrita Mukherjee (UTS) doesn’t like middle sized things. She studies how the smallest things affect the Universe on huge scales.
