The Semiconductor Sector Service Bureau (S3B) is a not-for-profit organisation created to support and grow the semiconductor sector in NSW and Australia across the whole supply chain.
As part of our commitment to nurturing future talent in the Semiconductor Sector in Australia, we launched S3B’s Semiconductor Global Reach Student Fund. This fund will provide travel bursaries for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students enrolled at Australian institutions to enable access to international conferences, programs and experiential learning opportunities that develop their expertise in relation to semiconductor technologies.
Purpose: The purpose of the fund is to create opportunities for students to increase their skills and knowledge in relation to semiconductor technologies by engaging with opportunities in the international semiconductor community.
Who: The fund is open to S3B members who are undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students enrolled at Australian institutions with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in semiconductor related fields. You can sign up for free S3B membership here. Applicants must be enrolled at an Australian institution at the time of the travel opportunity.
What: The fund is intended to supplement travel costs associated with international travel to attend international conferences, programs and experiential learning related to semiconductor technologies.
Funding: Students can apply for travel bursaries up to $1500 to be allocated towards travel, accommodation and registration expenses only.
Timelines: Applications will be assessed following the closing date. Applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application 2 weeks after the closing date.
