First Advanced Packaging Working Group meeting of the year!

S3B runs quarterly Advanced Packaging Working Group meetings bringing together Australia’s semiconductor community to connect, collaborate, and share insights on advanced packaging. The next meeting is 3 pm (AEST) Thursday 12 February 2026.

Three guest speakers have generously agreed to share insights into their organisation’s respective technical capabilities as well as touching on chip integration topics relevant to MEMS, photonics and medical devices. Please contact Matthew Worsman (matthew.worsman@s3b.au) for details on how to participate.

Register for Down Underflow

S3B are Gold sponsors of Down Underflow – the FOSSi Foundation’s inaugural Antipodean conference. Down Underflow is the newest addition to the global open source silicon conference family, following in the footsteps of Latch-Up (North America) and ORConf (Europe).

Expect a weekend packed with all things open-source semiconductor, digital design and embedded systems, and networking for the open source silicon community. Presentations will address a wide range of topics, both hardware and software: open-source IP blocks and SoCs, open-source simulators, compilers, HDLs, synthesis and physical implementation tools for both FPGA and ASIC, and open-source hardware initiatives.

The first batch of speakers have already been announced, covering topics like open-source tapeouts, RTL-to-GDS flows, Verilog tooling, Cocotb updates, and more!
