S3B submission to Industry Growth Program Discussion Paper

S3B has made a submission to the Department of Industry Science and Resources around the development and implementation of the federal government Industry Growth Program.

The Industry Growth Program (IGP) is seen as critical to semiconductor industry growth in Australia, as any hardware-related project is costly, time-consuming and resource-consuming. There is very little interest in investing in hardware projects versus software projects due to the length of the projects and perceived ROI over time. The IGP could offset these issues and attract more investment and international interest into the semiconductor industry in Australia. See the consultation document.
